Construction of the carriage braking system, this system is quite complex to build, it is composed of many moving components, from the drive crank in place of the driver up to the wheel chocks, consists of levers, worm bars, pulley , Chain, rocker, tie rods, tensioners, brake rear bar connections, steel central spring bar supports, side supports of the bar fixing plates, and finally the shims that are fixed to the ends of the brake bar, this It's like they see a somewhat slow and demanding job, I'll say throughout the construction how this works.
However, I would like to tell the admirers of this work that R T P did a report on these works, last week, here I leave the link for this short but interesting report, I hope you like to see.

Brake shoe cutout, beechwood
Bar alignment, shims and bar support
Shims already bolted to the bar, and alignment of the side supports of the bar.
The side supports of the bar after being aligned and centered are screwed
Clearance between wheel and shim 4 mm

Construction of the rear axle fittings, the suspension of the rear wheels, consists of 3 spring bundles with 11 blades each, two lateral bundles and one cross section, which supports the weight of the carriage behind, through a bar that connects the beam Of springs and the base of the carriage, the rims of the wheels were also already constructed, here are some images of the sequence of these constructions, I hope you like to see.
Transverse spring beam with connecting eyes
Rear axle with attached suspension springs
In the detail of the transverse springs, each beam is composed of 11 steel springs of 0.75 mm thickness

Further progress in the construction of the carriage of the malaposta, today I finished the construction of the front undercarriage, which includes the 5th and the whole system of fixing and reinforcements of the front axle, I also want to say with curiosity that this work of the front axle were Used 66 nuts and bolts, also made by me, these nuts have the peculiarity of being of square section, what there is in the market the section of thread is m 2, the next place is to do the yard to start the whole set of hardware Which composes the rear axle, also quite complex and delicate, a meticulous but meticulous but passionate work, here are some photos to appreciate this conclusion. I hope you enjoy this work.

After a short stop, I am back to continue the construction of the carriage of the malaposta, in this case the continuation of the front train, as you can see this pile of wood and metal that makes up the whole of the front axle, as You can see in the pictures the 5th wheel that has generous dimensions, 11 cm in diameter, almost the whole width of the carriage, because it is a very large and heavy vehicle, to travel great distances on bad and heavy roads, A very robust structure and reinforced as it is possible to see all these reinforcements visible here, however it is still necessary to make some parts such as the accessories of the front bar the lateral reinforcements of the central arms the access steps and some more details that I will soon do. Some more pics to see and enjoy this (puzle of wood and metal pieces)
