Fischers body coach

Recently a group of friends visited my exhibition at the National Coach Museum, having been delighted with Napoleon's coach and the history associated with it, they asked me to show how it was built.

Because it was a work done about ten years ago, with a long construction, very technical with a lot of detail and detail, about 300 photos and 22 pages of construction plans. For this reason I never published this work. But because of so much interest and sympathy it was difficult to say no, my Facebook friends too, will certainly like to see this compilation that will be phased for a better understanding of the progress I continue in this work, I will start with the wheels, axles, box and so on. on. In the next article I will address the interesting story associated with it, I hope you like it.

chaire

Today I finished building the chair, as you can see it didn't take long to make, about two months, it was a relatively easy job to build, but that's no less important, it has a very relevant history, it was a means of transport urban without wheels, but very comfortable and safe, notice this illustration from that time, 19th century, in which it shows the arrival of the princess to the palace, in her little chair, notice the footmen, properly uniformed and with the straps hanging from their shoulders, which served to load the chair. CHAIR

Hello to all friends and thank you for following this construction of the CHAIR.

Today I will show some more progress in this construction, as you can see, as it is a relatively simple job, it is practically completed, it is all made of wood, it only has 3 types of hardware, the clothesline supports, the door hinges and the lock fittings, the woods used were preferably light but resistant woods such as Tola and cedar.

Some photos from this compilation.
