PANHARD & LEVASSOR

Hello to all my friends, as I had promised, today I will make known my new project, the famous Panhard & Levassor, a very interesting work to which I could not be indifferent, because of what he has of historical interest, he was the first car that came to Portugal in 1895, brought from France by Count Jorge de Avilêz, it was also the transition between the car pulled by horses and the car, itself said to have been also the first actor in a car accident , while running a donkey on the route from Lisbon to Santiago do Cacém.This historic car is on display at the National Museum of Cars, in perfect condition, together with their older brothers, the coaches.
At the request of some friends, for being one of the most difficult parts to do I will start this construction by the wheels, which are still like wagon wheels, with iron hoops, I hope you enjoy and enjoy this compilation more.

In these photos you can see the various stages of construction of the wheels.

Construction of feloes in beech wood.
 Turning wheel rims.

 Assembly device for wheels.

The spokes are offset at the hub at 4 and 7 degrees.

The wheels are almost completed, you can see the rack where the traction chain engages...
